Say you are booked and free QS dining is offered. Can you upgrade a portion of the time to standard dining? So, say you were booked for seven days, can you upgrade 3 days to standard and leave the other 4 QS?

I'm thinking that no, you probably cannot do that. I believe it has to be the same for the whole length of time of your package. But, I could be wrong. Probably the only way to know 100% is to call Disney & ask.

I believe that the way to do it would be to split the stay and book as two separate packages. You don't mention how many nights you will stay but the current free dining offer has a 5 night minimum. So as long as both parts of the booking are at least 5 nights then you could have one part as just QS free and then the other part upgrade the QS.

But then they would have to purchase at least two day park tickets for both pkgs and they'd have to purchase those $99.00 memory books for each pkg also.

On a single reservation, it's all or nothing, whether free dining or paid. If you were paying for the dining plan, you'd have to choose either the regular or the quick service for your entire stay. There's no difference just because it's free dining.

You must have any single reservation under the same dining plan. You'd need to upgrade the whole thing to basic dining or deluxe dining, or leave the whole thing QS.

In order to have two different dining plans, you'd have to book two different packages. Which, of course, doesn't make sense because you'd lose a ton on tickets, and other costs. Negates any savings.

If all you want are 3 TS meals, I'd just pay for those out of pocket.

Do all the math though, and make sure you are saving money. By paying premium prices for tickets, rack rate for the room, and lots of out of pocket costs on dining, you might be spending more than you think.

Have you looked at upgrading to the DDP for your whole stay? For our family of four, it was less to upgrade from the free QSDP to the DDP than what one TS meal cost.

It is just going to be my daughter and me and we aren't big eaters. She mentioned she'd like to do a few character breakfasts is why I asked. I didn't think you could, but figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

Here's an option...

Go for TS that requires 2 entitlements, then share some QS meals...
