Dining plan question

We have booked 1 week with first choice sept 1st to sept 8th riverside with no dining plan my question is can you ask for dining plan when you check in. I have made my ADR already. I have worked out 50 dollars approx for each day but wondering if dining plan is best option is it reduced at low season

You will need to book this with first choice, you won't be able to do it at check in. Did you also buy tickets with first choice? The dining plan always comes as a package deal.
Even when booking with the US site you still need to purchase a ticket to add on the dining.

I am guessing you did not add tickets to the reservation?

All you had to do was add tickets and you would have recieved free DDP, here is the FC offer if booked before 31st March http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/sun-holidays/family-holidays/disney-holidays/

You had to purchase the tickets at same time as making your reservation, adding tickets later will not get you free DDP now the offer has ended. Shame you didn't add the tix in Jan.

The 2011 uk free dining plan offers ended end March so it couldn't be added now unfortunately.

USA disney may offer free dining for your dates - would you lose a lot of money if you cancelled and rebooked?

If you booked in a travel agent maybe go and speak to them - you would have thought they would have advised you to book a hotel and ticket package to get the free dining.

It probably won't as the offer has ended. If another free dining offer is released to cover your dates you could work out the cost of cancellation and re-booking and then adding the DDP and tickets to the new booking BUT, you may not get the flights you currently have if there are no more seats and as Wayne says, you won't get the DDP free, you would have to pay for it.

Debbie, just a thought, since you have made your ADRs:

Would you like to tell us what you have booked and how many (adults and kids) are in your party? You may still be better off than buying the dining plan by paying OOP. Paid DDP is not always cheaper.

We booked our stay with First Choice in Feb going in Oct with free dining the sister in law booked her holiday on Saturday told them that we had already booked and got the same deel give them a ring and tell them you did not no about the free dining offer at the time

Thank you all a million this is the best website ever, I have just phoned up first choice spoke to a lovely young lady who after I told her about this forum spoke to her supervisor and let me have the DDP tickets were 249 but £30 for 7 days breakfast and lunch is great we will pay for our ADR table service also they had previously charged us 35 for upgrading to premier and she deducted that

good to see First choice sorting this out for you hope you have a good time we did last year if you can hire the boat and have a lazy river ride think it about $40 for half hour but worth it
