Dining plan question

O.K.we are new to DVC and are planning our first trip on points. This next trip will be a "no theme parks" trip. Can we still get the dining plan? I tried to find out on the disney site but had no luck, it seems that the dining plan is linked to the purchase of park tickets. I thought you just needed to stay on the property. Help please!!

You sure can. You will need to purchase the dining plan for everyone staying in your room for the length of your stay. If staying DVC no need to purchase tickets in order to do the dining plan. You will also need to sign up at least 48 hours before arrival. You will pay for the dining plan at check-in.

As PP stated, absolutely you can use DDP when staying on points. Just be sure to reserve the DDP with DVC MS no later than 48 hours prior to your arrival.

If you want to dine in a restaurant in the park, though, you will need to purchase admission.

Great!!! I think that we will have plenty of options for dining outside of the parks. I am just glad to know that we can purchase the plan. I know we saved a lot of money last year because we did several character meals. Hoping to go to the Luau next visit.
