If you do the dining plan, you get 1 snack, 1 cs meal, and 1 table service meal. This would make sense to use for lunch and dinner. What do you do about breakfast? Is it possible to do a late character breakfast it tide you over and do a early dinner?

Yes you can do late breakfast and early dinner, or you can pay OOP for breakfast, or take breakfast bars or pop tarts to eat before you leave the resort. You get so much food at your TS and CS its almost impossible to eat 3 meals a day.

We usually opt for ctrs' or ts's for breakfast & dinner and save snacks for lunch ,afterall the ctrs' and tss' are more than enough to hold anyone over.

We use our CS credits for lunch & TS credits for dinner.

We never, ever have breakfast....we are always still too full from dinner! :goodvibes

We pick up breakfast items cereal, milk, OJ, cereal bars, and fruit. We either eat it at the hotel or bring it into the park along with water bottles. We have a cs for lunch and a sit down for dinner. If you don't want a snack in between, you can purchase a bottle of water in it's place. We had extra snacks left over at the end of our trip and purchased a bunch of mickey mouse rice krispie treats and water bottles for the trip home. You will not go hungry on the dining plan. Have Fun!

With the new "snacks" on the dining plan, you could use your snack credit for breakfast! It now includes all manner of pastries at the different bakeries, entire BOXES of donuts at the food courts.... Not to mention fruit cups, fresh fruit, smoothies... :-) I'm sure you'll find lots of great breakfast foods. Check out the dining plan board for all the yummy details!

Last year I fed all six of us with 2 CS credits for breakfast. We made coffee in the room for dh and me and I'd brought some juice boxes. I would get 2 waffle platters that came with sausage and bacon. At that time you could get "dessert" with your breakfast and we would get a pastry and a bagel that dh and I shared. For lunch we shared the other 4 CS meals and had PLENTY of food. This year I pack a bag of bagels to add to the breakfast foods. We may also use some snack credits for breakfast.

We split the counter service meals and had plenty of food. DH and I shared an adult combo breakfast and our boys shared a combo breakfast. The same with lunch, and we had leftovers even. A lot of the counter service places serve big portions, and when you add the dessert, it's even more.

I agree. We would use 2 CS for breakfast and 2 for Lunch. It was plenty for my family of four. The snacks made it easy to make it until a TS dinner.

I had not head about the new snacks, that is great. This next trip will be our first on the dinning plan and we had planned to take our desert from our TS dinner each night back to the room for breakfast the next morning. There is no way we can eat a whole meal plus desert. Now I think we will just do the snack credit for a pastry each morning. YUMMMMY.

a supermarket -- my kids 4 & 6 like to eat right away in the morning and so do i -- just a light bk-fast so i'll get milk cereal bagels bananas etc - this way we can eat quick in the morning till our lunch!

Believe me after them 2 big meals (Disney portionsizes) you will be FULL all day, every day! Looks like now with the new snack options, you may be able to use some towards breakfast foods (cereal, doughnuts, ect..)!

I always take stuff for breakfast also. I take bagels, cereal, granola bars and juice boxes. Pack them right in my suitcase. The girls are usually too excited to eat in the morning but at least I get something in them for energy for the start of the day. Then I use the credits for lunch and dinner. Depends on what is planned for the day but usually eat around the normal times. The counter service meals actually have pretty much food and can hold you over if you want a later dinner say 7 ish. Worked out great for us. Somtimes the desert that came with lunch we were full so just put it in the bag for snack mid-day. Plus you have a snack credit and I would use that for a beverage.
