Dining plan poll

When you use the dining plan, do you have enough dining credits or do you do OOP too?

  • The dining plan credits are enough for us!

  • We pay for some meals(counter or table service)OOP.

We've paid for the Dining Plan for our last 3 trips (each trip was 8 or 9 days) & we have never had to pay OOP for anything....and we always end up with leftover snack credits.

We had our TS's and CS's all figured out for our 10 day trip...but when we were at Epcot - World Gate is was SO hot. The "itineray" said to do a CS lunch but it was just too hot. We ended up eating and paying OOP at the TS restaurant in Italy just so we could be in the A/C. Sitting outside to eat wasn't appealing and walking all the way to land or another CS that was indoors was just too far to walk.

Lesson - be flexible!
Besides this, I don't recall paying for any meals - we did bring a lot of snacks/pb&j/cereal in the room - and didn't each much of that either - I thought we would need all that extra food because we were only covered for 2 meals/day...but it was plenty!!

We always like to have a big breakfast on the day we leave the world and almost always end up having to pay for that OOP. Sometimes we have a few snack credits left but use those on rice crispie treats for the road. We like the DDP and will continue to use it.

We fly all day to get there and get back, so we stay 7 nights and only have 6 (full) days in Orlando. We always have extra credits at the end of our stay, so I stock up on sandwiches and snacks from the grab 'n go coolers at the resort. We eat these on our flight home.

ok, i read somewhere else that the cali grilldoes take 2 TS credits per person!
can somebody list all the places that require 2 TS credits?

The signature restaurants are California Grill, Artist Point, Citricos, Narcoossee, Flying Fish, Jiko, Yachtsman Steakhouse and Brown Derby. In addition, in-room dining also requires 2TS each, as does Cinderella's, Spirit of Aloha, Hoop-De-Doo, and Mickey's Backyard BBQ.

"In-room dining" is what Disney calls "room service".
