Is there somewhere where I can view Menus that show which foods are covered by the Dining Plan and which that are not?

With very rare exception (so few I couldn't even name what they are - it's like a handful), everything on the regular menu can be ordered by those on the DDP, if the restaurant participates in the DDP.

That's what I thought. I do remember on my last trip that there was a few entrées that were not offered. But I cannot remember where or what they were. Hence why I asked the question. lol

I believe the sushi at Tokyo Dining and the Kitchen Sink dessert at Beaches and Cream are excluded.

Last fall at Via Napoli if you wanted pizza, only the individual size could be ordered on the dining plan. Also you could not use 1 credit to share a meal there.

Cool! Thanks :)

On a related note...

1. Are there indications on the menu if something is excluded from the dining plan?

2. Do the waitstaff know when you are seated if you are on the dining plan?

I would like to avoid a situation where we order something thinking we are on plan and then get the check and find out " Oh no sorry those two items weren't part of the plan".

Thank you,
Sharon

1. Are there indications on the menu if something is excluded from the dining plan? I've never seen anything.

2. Do the waitstaff know when you are seated if you are on the dining plan? At every TS restaurant the server will ask you if you're on the dining plan, then explain what you're entitled to. After a while you'll be have their explanation memorized. ;) Once you've looked over the menu you can ask if something you see is included or not, if the server hasn't mentioned it. Perhaps it's about the rules for "for 2" items or non-alcoholic beverages such as milkshakes, smoothies, virgin cocktails, specialty beverages, etc. which some Disney owned restaurants will let you order.

Thank you,

Thanks a million Kim! DH hates using coupons or other special payment plans, so I need to be sure that I am not asking a bunch of questions and he doesn't feel ackward like we are being cheap. I don't think he realizes that the dining plan is very very common at the Disney restuarants. :cool1:

I think it's uncommon not to be on the dining plan. I know someone that just went to WDW and was not on the Dining Plan. When the CM asked if they were on the plan and the response was "No" the CMs were usually surprised.

When my husband and I go in October we will be on the DP, but for two places we will be out of TS credits. One place (Planet Hollywood) we'll have a gift certificate and are only sharing apps. One of our choices is a buffet breakfast, so we'll be paying OOP, because it is the cheapest option left. A majority of our TS are dinner.

Also the two most expensive sushi options at California Grill can only be ordered as an entree (not an appetizer) if you are on the DxDDP.

The only other one I can think of, off the top of my head, are that the 'feasts' at Marrakesh have like a $6.00 upcharge fee if you order one of them.
