Hey Everybody!! This is the first time we have done the regular dining plan so it's all new to us and I just have a couple questions.

1.) Can we order anything off the menu, no matter the price? obviously we couldn't do the meals for 2 types things but if we wanted to order say steak that's $32 vs a burger that is $16 can we do that? basically is there a limit on what can be ordered as an adult on a menu with the regular dining plan?

2.) Like the QS dining plan can you still sub out dessert for a side like soup or salad?

3.) How do places like Teppan Edo, O'hana work? Are they app, entrée, dessert included?

4.) Are dinner parties included in the dining plan?

Also if someone has a good place to go to get all this kinda info I would love to see it!!
Thanks guys!! Sorry if these have been asked already, like I said I'm new to this plan and figured it would be easier to just ask in one place since I wasn't sure how to search these questions and not get a million other threads unrelated to these

85 days until we try a new resort!!! :yay: :jumping1:And our longest trip ever taken to WDW!! party:

You can order anything that isn't a sharing plate.

2.) Like the QS dining plan can you still sub out dessert for a side like soup or salad?

Yes but for very few items, eg a side salad, fruit plate or soup, not generally for a standard menu item.

3.) How do places like Teppan Edo, O'hana work? Are they app, entrée, dessert included?

'Ohana - yes all included.
Mama Melrose Fantasmic package also includes app, entree and dessert plate.

4.) Are dinner parties included in the dining plan?

I don't think so.

On the regular ddp, unless is is a place like 'Ohana, a buffet, or something like the Fantasmic package, you do not get an appetizer. Basically, if you order from the menu (Teppan Edo for one), you get an entree, drink and dessert.

So can you do the like the fantastic package with the dining plan? What about the dessert party at mk?

1. You can order anything on the menu that is included in the entitlements of your dining plan. Since you mention the "regular dining plan" I assume you have the Disney Dining Plan that includes one TS, one QS and one snack per night per person. At the TS restaurant your TS credit will include an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic fountain beverage at lunch or dinner. It will not include anything on the appetizer section of the menu or anything in the section labeled Side Dishes or Accompaniments or Enhancements. This section is usually after the Entree section of the menu. If an item is listed as "For Two" on a menu, it will require the credits of 2 adults.

One dessert that is not included is the large kitchen sink at Beaches & Cream. The Volcano dessert at Rainforest or T-Rex requires at least 3 adult credits (various posters have reported 3 or 4 adult credits or everyone at the table's credits).

For breakfast a TS credit includes only the entree and one beverage. There is no dessert component at breakfast so using a credit at a TS restaurant for breakfast is a poor value.

When dining at a Signature restaurant, the components remain the same - there is no appetizer included even though you will be using 2 credits per person.

2. Subbing will be at the discretion of the TS restaurant so you will have to ask if they will do it and what the substitute dish will be because the substitute item will be a dish the restaurant has determined in advance. Most often it has been a cup of soup, a small side salad or a vegetable. It will not be an item from the appetizer menu.

3. TS restaurants where you order from a menu do not include an appetizer unless you are on the Deluxe Dining Plan. Places like 'Ohana and Garden Grill, which are all you care to eat family style venues has a set menu and you will receive everything on the set menu. Likewise at buffets (e.g. Chef Mickey, Biergarten) everything on the buffet is included.

4. By dinner parties if you are asking about the 3 dinner shows (Hoop De Doo, Spirit of Aloha Luau, Mickey's Backyard Barbecue) they are included, but certain seating categories at certain show times are not included so if you are using dining credits be sure you are booking the correct seating category. Dinner packages (e.g. Fantasmic, Candlelight, Jungle Book) can be paid with dining credits. As far as I know, none of the fireworks/dessert parties are included in the dining plan.
