Help me do the math! :)

Dh, me, ds (3) and dd (13 months)
Dh HAS an annual pass and we have a current DDE
We can get an AP rate at POP for 7 nights plus tickets for myself and ds for 1066.

OR we can book 7 nights using our AAA and buy DH a one day ticket for $103.00 - which using my very sad math will be 115 -15% +13% tax = 110.47 x 7 + 545 (tickets) = 1318

We'd save 250 by going with the AP rate and no dining plan... but will save more in food costs by getting the dining plan?????? Remember that we will get 20% off most of our sit down meals.

We do do a big sit down meal everyday anyway... and we always do BOMA and Ohanas for dinner and Chef Mickey and Crystal Palace for breakfast.
We are both eaters and we like the idea of getting whatever we want and not worrying... although we pretty much do this anyways :rotfl2:

HELP!!!!!
TIA!!!!!

If you are saying that it will only cost you $250 more to go with the dining plan for 7 nights, then I would definitely say to go that way. Lets say you spend $100 a night for food, that equals $700-I think that is very conservative considering you said you have a big sit down meal every day (unless you usually share meals). Even if you get a 20% discount on everything that would be a $140 savings - your meals would still cost $560 - more than twice your cost for the meal plan KWIM?

I just use what I call simple dining plan math! If your TS meal is going to be at least $25.00 before tax and tip than the DDP is a good deal. If your TS meal will be less than $25.00 the values may be shaky. If you go off the menu ordering an appetizer that is around $7, an entree that is $19 and a dessert that is $6.00 add your drink and tax and tip and you are easily over the $25.00--$43.33 with 6.5% tax and 18% tip. Same meal with DDE $33.62. Now add the CS and snack which you most likely will not be able to apply the DDE to and you see that if you are going to have at least one TS each day, 1CS each day and would like a snack you'll sve more with the DDP than the DDE.

I would say DEFINITELY go with the Dining Plan...especially since you guys love to eat out every day!!!!!! You get so much food on the plan, so I hear!!! And at $38 per day for adult, it's a REAL BARGAIN!
