Dining plan kids menu

Im looking at alot of the kids menus and the 'kids meals' for the restaurant come with certain drinks (milk, juice) and sometimes with fruit. Do they still get a 'dessert' with the meal plan and also a pop to drink instead of what is listed 'with' the kids meal?

Yes, you can sub in fries, sodas, and less healthy desserts.

Well it may be less healthy but who wants to drink milk in the heat? Our son is more a milk drinker than juice. and we are on vacation right so we can splurge

At the bottom of the kids menus in TINY print it says that you an sub for cookie, soft drink or fries. It is a one for one switch so if you would have had grapes and carrots and you want fries and a cookie, you lose the grapes and carrots. You can then sub the drink. Most kids menus have a juice option too, as well as a small bottled water.

Not all locations have all the subs so they may vary slightly from one place to the next. For example, some CS do not serve fries so this is not available as a switch.

ok thanks...not too worried about fries he can take em or leave em but did want to be able to get a pop (unless they have lemonade he loves that) but not a big juice fan. also wanted to get like a mickey rice krispie treat or something like that. he love carrots but not much on grapes. he eats like a bird anyways but did want to see how this works for him. so thank you

YOu would have to use one of his snack credits for his rice crispie treat as that won't be a sub on the kids menu, but you could get one for yourself and save it for him when he wants to pick at something later on. Keep a few small food bags in your park bag for putting it away again when he's had enough as they are quite large. Oh and that means wipes for sticky hands too.

They do have lemonade (Minute Maid) at most places. My DD loves it. I also let her have soda on vacation. We don't drink soda at home and I don't think once a year is going to be detrimental to our health. If you are worried about artificial sweeteners just check whether it is regular or lite though. They usually have either or.
