I was wondering how is the process in the restaurants, counter service and snacks with the dining plan. I heard that you have to tell first that you have the dining plan, but you have to give all the cards? So if is a party of 10, you have to give them the 10 cards to process?

I was there about a month ago with 4 people, we just gave one card, we were all on the same reservation. It worked particularly well at counter service because we could order all at once. Are the 10 people all on the same reservation? The cards will say how many people are covered on it. You may have to give one per room.

All of the KTTW (resort room IDSs) are tied to the Dining Plan credits. Any key can be used to charge a CS, TS or snack credit. So no problem if your party wants to split up - the only issues might be making sure you use up all the credits for your family or that no one person uses up too many, LOL.

Best wishes -

OK. So what apparently they do is that they record in all the cards the total of services, the whole party has?

Actually, they keep track of your credits on a main frame somewhere and all of the resorts cards have some type of ID number that links to your dining plan "credit" account. But they don't divide it up by card - any card can charge any meal or snack as long as there are some left for your room/account.

Best wishes -

Right. We had 4 people for 4 nights so we started out with 16 table service, 16 counter service, 16 snacks. Everytime we used it, the receipt would say the number remaining. We usually got our table service and counter service together but we split up on the snacks.

Are all 10 people on the same reservation?

Yep. We will be staying in a Grand Villa, still don't know which one.
