I have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.
I have added the dining plan to my reservation. my son is 3 and I gave the CM on the phone his birth date. When he confirmed my dining plan he told me my son was free. I said OK. then realized he was wrong and called back. Again I was told he was free. PS bought a park ticket for him since he is really 3.

So my question is if I am at a buffet and the waitress takes my card to swipe for my TS credits is she going to swipe for 3 TS credits or only 2? I am willing to pay for his dinners OOP but I don't want to use extra TS credits on him.

Which leads to my 2nd question are children's credits and adult credits different or is it just a pool of credits regardless of if you are an adult or child
IE 2 adults and 1 child for 1 TS meal is that 3 credits or 2 adult credits and 1 childs credit

Isn't under 3 free, but 3 and over you have to pay? At least that's the way I've understood it to be.
I think I would call them back and explain that your son is 3, and needs to be
on the dining plan. If I remember right, if you're all in the same resort room, you all need to be on the dining plan. Do they maybe have the dates wrong in the computer, and think your son is actually 2?
As for eating at the buffet with your son; I think if you specifically told them that you want to pay OOP for him rather than have them use a credit, they'll probably let you do that. I'd make sure to tell them as soon as you sit down. But I think the best thing would be just to call Disney again, and make sure they realize your son is 3; and that he needs to be added to the dining plan.

I agree with the previous poster and I'd call back yet again and explain that your child is already 3 and NOT free.

That way you won't have any worries on vacation.

You're better off paying for the dining plan than paying for buffets out of pocket. The dining plan is a great deal for kids 3-9!!!

For example, a dinner buffet at Hollywood & vine is $11.99. Most counter service meals are at least $4-5 plus the cost of a drink. TS non-buffet meals are probably going to be under $10. So if you're paying $11 per day and get 1 TS, 1 CS credit and a snack, it's a steal (unless your child doesn't eat much).

I'd call back and make sure it's fixed.

I would also like to know if the credits are pooled or are seperated as adult/child TS credits. Can someone please answer this?
