Dining Plan Funny

I work in a WDW TS restaurant and although all our meals are good, our breakfast is and that's why we get a lot of guests that just checked in to eat with us.

This morning I had a couple sit in my station. I went up and greeted them and asked them if they were using a DP and they said that they were. I told them what they were entitled to and asked if I could get them a beverage while they looked over the menu. The conversation then went to this:

Guest: Can we use our QS points?
Me: no Ma'm we are a TS restaurant, QS is located downstairs.
Guest: so we can't use our QS here?
Me: no Ma'm. TS restaurants have servers, QS is like a cafeteria (it describes QS the best way I know of)
Guest: is breakfast going to take long?
Me: it shouldn't, it's pretty early yet and it should be quick
Guest: so then we CAN use our QS point if it's fast?
Me: (at this point I'm trying really hard not to laugh) Ma'm how fast the food is served doesn't have an effect on the point you can use. We are a TS resturant and it uses a TS credit no matter how long it takes to come out. Would you like me to get you some beverages or did you want to go downstairs?
Guest: 2 coffee's please
Me: coming right up!!!!

She later apologized for sounding like a dolt but I just laughed and told her it was before coffee and it's all good. I really did laugh and share it with my co-workers though. We get a lot of questions about the DP and how it works but this was a first for me!!

Last Nov 26th I went to guest services at AK to upgrade an old one day park ticket I had just used, to a new AP. The lady beside me, was really giving the CM a hard time. She had apparently booked Rainforest Cafe and was pissed when she was told they did not accept the DDP (at that time they didn't, I know they do now). She had apparently walked out and went over to guest services to complain. She was yelling at the CM that that was where her grandson wanted to eat and she expected her to make it happen. I guess she thought that if she created enough of a scene that they'd give her a voucher or something. The CM kept explaining that some restaurants are not owned by Disney and do not accept the DDP and if she had looked at the list she was given when she checked in she would have known which ones accept it and which ones didn't. The lady wouldn't quit demanding that she do something to fix it and at one point, yelled "Well call over there and make them and for that matter after all this trouble, it should be free too!". Another CM finally went over to tallk to her and told her they would try to get her into any other restaurant in AK, but she could not use her DDP at Rainforest. She then asked what was available, was the food any good, and since they had caused her so much trouble, they owed her a free meal and would not be using any of her dining credits. I was surprised when they gave in to her and offered her a free meal for her entire party at Tusker House. It seemed like they were rewarding her bad behavior, but they gave her some sort of card so they could eat for free.
