I feel like I should know the answer to this, but because I'm planning for 11 people I better check. I've. done all these things before, but I know stuff changes all the time and my memory seems to fail me at the worst times.

1st is are the menus the same for fantasmic package (Mamma Melrose)? And the restaurants offering Candlelight package? I seem to remember a limited menu for fantasmic at MM a while ago.

Also if using dining plan credits for each of these packages, is appitizer then included even though it isn't usually with dining plan?

Thanks in advance!
Tammy

OK So I saw another thread that answered the Fantasmic question. It sounds like reguar menu and you also get an appetizer.
How about Candlelight?

I spoke to a cm yesterday in dining, And he said it would be 1 table service per person and you could order anything off the menu including the app. The only thing you could not order would be lobster. Also he said to call Monday June 23. And all you need is a credit card to hold your ressie. You also have 48 hrs to cancel.

Thanks!
So tomorrow is the big day. Now it's time to decide where to eat....

Do you folks interpret this as I do?

"Price does NOT include gratuity, tax or lobster entree"

If using the dining plan for candlelight, an appetizer would be included, yes? But now you pay out-of-pocket for gratuity and tax; tax is not normally an out-of-pocket expense on the dining plan, true?

Thanks,

i was just told this morning by a CM that tax is *not* included on the DP. So it is an out of pocket expense, whether you are using your credits for the processional or elsewhere.

but i have read elsewhere (mousesavers) that tax *is* included. so now i'm confused. Unless the CM meant that you pay tax on the cost of the DDP itself? so you are paying 37.99 plus tax for each adult?

too confusing!

99.9% of the time, CMs are friendly and helpful. but about 70% of the time, they tell you conflicting info so you are forced to call multiple times for fairly simple, straightforward information.

According to allearsnet your tax is covered but no tip or appetizer if using the DDP.

For Disney Dining Plan Guests:

Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining: Candlelight Dining Packages will be 1 Entitlement.

If using your Magic Your Way Package + Dining Table Service Meal entitlements toward the Candlelight Processional Dining Package, your entitlements include an entree, a dessert, and a non-alcoholic beverage OR a full buffet and non-alcoholic, non-specialty beverage for each person on the package. Appetizers and Gratuities are not included.

The way the rules are written for the Candlelight Processional package this year, you are not entitled to an appetizer if you are on the basic dining plan.

If you are on the deluxe plan, or you are paying out of pocket, you will get the appetizer.

And the dining plan does include tax.

I can't recall that any of the offered restaurants actually serve lobster, but I could be wrong.

appetizer is not included as part of the plan for the basic dining plan when you do get an appetizer at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic dinner package under the basic dining plan. To me a package is a package is a package. To me a package includes appetizer; because, that's what a TS package is defined as. If you were paying OOP for the package you would get an appetizer.

Does anyone have a link to a Disney site that defines this absolutely?
