Dining Plan discounted for DVCers?

We are renting points to stay in a Beach Club Villa for 10 days in May. I saw somewhere that Disney Vacation Club members get the dining plan for $1-$2 cheaper per day. Is this true and if so do renters of points get that discount passed on?

Never heard of the dining plan being cheaper for DVC members. It was a big deal that we were even allowed to purchase it - and we've always purchased it at regular price to my knowledge. No idea what they're doing for 2009 though as I haven't bought the plan since 2007.

Not that I aware. We have always paid the same rate as other guests.

Nope, DVC members don't get a discount on the DP (none of them). DVC members do get some discounts on meals, but you need to be a member (and have the membership ID).
