Dining Plan ? - Dining with others NOT on the DP?

What happens when there are diners who are using the DP & also those that aren't?

DF & I don't have the dining plan, because we are staying at 3 different resorts, plus we used the DFTW discount for room only. But almost all of our guests will be on the dining plan. So what happens when we eat together?

You tell the server you need separate checks; then the DDP Guests can tell the server they're using credits only so the server can let them know of any restrictions (e.g. drinks).

We've done this many times and the servers are quite used to it.

At the beginning of the meal, the server always asks if we're on any dining plan. We tell them who is and also that we will be using DDE for the rest of the party as well as alcohol, etc..
