I'm dreaming of our next trip and was trying to decide if we would want to do the DxDP. We did DDP last trip and loved it. (upgraded from free QSDP)
If we went during FD promo again, upgrading to DXDDP would cost me about $1000 for all of us (for a 10 day trip). Realising that has really made me stop to think about whether it would be worth it. It was a foregone conclusion before I added the extra costs LOL!
I know we would want to do 2-4 signatures/dinner shows. But then when I added it up, even the extra meals we would want over and above the DDP would only cost an extra $300-$400 - so for me, it would be better to pay OOP for the extras I want rather than paying for the upgrade. That said, I certainly would never pay for all the extras the DXDP would provide - so maybe the Deluxe is worth it?
I did keep in mind that for my family, we have no issues sharing and we do refuse to order dessert if we're too full and 60% of the time order water (healthier).
