Dining Plan Decisions

We are planning our next family trip in January and are contemplating the Deluxe Dining Plan versus just using the DDE card. We are a Grand Gathering, so we would use almost all of the allotted meals due to Grand Gathering celebrations, etc.

Does anyone have any feedback? Any thoughts? The figures we run based on past trips, etc. seems to put us at a break even (when you factor in the cost of tips/alcohol, etc).

Any thoughts from someone who has used the Deluxe Dining Plan would be appreciated!

We've used the deluxe plan along with DDE a couple times now on some split stays. It did save some money over DDE for us.

However, if it's a break even proposition between DDE and deluxe for you, I would just use DDE. That way if someone is ill or your plans change in some way, you don't risk losing value. DDE provides more flexibility.

You may want to wait to sign up and see if there are any changes to the dining plans for 2009.
