Dining Plan Credits with multi-rooms?

We are planing a trip for 9 in Aug 2011 with the dining plan. We need to book 4 rooms. My question is I am pretty sure if I book the rooms on the same reservation or in 2 reservations the dining credits are availible to all room cards on that reservation? Correct? Is there a way to have them seperated?


The reason for my concern is for this trip we will have 2 HUNGRY teens with us, who tend to not think before they act and it is highly possible for them to use others dining credits for themselves.

Should I just book all 4 rooms on seperate reservations? Thanks!

If all four rooms are on the same reservation, with the same reservation number, then all credits will be pooled and they cannot be separated by room.

If each room has a separate reservation number, the credits for each room will be available only to persons registered in that room.

If you have two separate reservations with two rooms on each, then each reservation will have access to credits for everyone on the individual reservation.

It's by reservation number, not by room.

Persons on a separate reservation will likely not be able to use their dining credits to purchase meals for persons registered on another reservation, though.

I hope this is the way it works for my upcoming trip in September. DH and I are taking our 16yo daughter and three of her friends. We have two connecting rooms at POP and the reservation has my husband in one room with 2 of the girls and me in the other room with the other 2. I understand they did it this way so an adult would be in each room, but, of course, all four girls will sleep in one room and DH and I will sleep in the other. Both rooms are under the same reservation number (even though I had to pay the $200 deposit for each room). It would make things so much easier if all the credits for both rooms are pooled together. I'm sure there will be times that DH and I will be separate from the girls and I couldn't quite figure out what we were going to do about the dining credits if they were separated by room.

Just have everyone carry their own KTTW card. All credits are accessible from ALL the KTTW cards assigned to the room, not just the lead guest's. They will be able to use credits if you are not there. Unless your concern is that they will use too many credits, there's not much you can do about that besides make them aware how many credits are theirs to spend.

I should have pointed out in my earlier post that we are on the QSDP this trip.
That said, I just thought it would be so much quicker and easier if one person ordered and paid with one card rather than each one of them get in line, order, swipe their card, etc.

Wow!! I did not know this. We're thinking of going a day early with 2 rooms in Sept & doing the deluxe for that 1 night. Being able to do just one ressie & having everyone on the same plan for the one night would be so much simpler. We already have those credits planned so guess would only have to worry about the snack credits, lol. Thanks!!

Only one from each room needs to use the card. Have the 2 girls in one room order together, and the 2 girls from the other room order together. If the credits are all pooled they can all order and pay with one card.

See, I knew there was an easy solution - it just wasn't coming to me! Hopefully, all the credits will be pooled, but if not, then this makes perfect sense. Thanks!
