We will be on the Dining plan for 7 days. Since we are going only for the benefit of our two girls ages 4 and 5 I want to use as many of our points for charachter meals as possible. So 7 meals - what do you suggest. I am willing to do one of the 2 point meals and pay one other on my own if it really worth it. I would love to have your top 10 choices so I can have backups - I doubt we will get all that we want.
Thanks!

The only 2 credit character meal is Cinderella's Royal Table. All the others are 1 credit (with the exception of Mickey's Backyard Barbecue, which features characters but is considered a dinner show)

You do know that the credits are based on the number of nights not days!

I would pick: Chef Mickey's, Donald's Safari breakfast, Hollywood and Vine (Playhouse Disney friends-haven't been but have heard great things about it), Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare.

If you really want to go to CRT then go. I think it is worth going once. If you can't get in try 1900 Park Fare-dinner has Cinderella, Prince Charming, Step-sisters and Step-mother.

Having all or most of your meals with characters will hopefully stop you from waiting in long lines for autographs.

Chef Mickey's - to see Mickey and Minne , Crystal Palace- Pooh Characters, 1900 Park Faire - snow white and her crew....are wonderful for kids..

I haven't been to Tusker House for their buffet breakfast but I would lthink it is good..

The ones we have enjoyed the most.

Crystal palace either breakfast, lunch or dinner.
1900 Park Fare dinner
O'hana breakfast
LLT but Alas it is not character anymore.

We did enjoy the CRT but think it is not worth two credits trying the princess one in epcot this year. Also trying Garden Grill this time around.

Did not care for Chef Mickey's food was not very good. Might have been an off night. Would possibly try again after we have hit all the others.

We also had great character interaction at Cape May for Breakfast.

We also did the Donald on in Animal Kingdom but that was at the old location. Have not been since they have move it but I've heard great reviews.

Unlike the above poster I have heard more bad things about Hollywood and vine than good. The one time we ate here for dinner Fantasmic package the food was not very good. Possibly the character meal breakfast is better.

You do get more bang for you buck with lunches and dinners with the dining plan. If not booking before park opening we like to get the latest breakfast as possible. This give us a few hours to ride rides and then sit down and relax for a bit. With our little ones I prefer the largest meal early in the day (usually lunch) so that does limit our options on occasion.

I cannot wait less than a Month away:cheer2:

If you arrive in the afternoon, just use a counter service credit that night and then you will have enough table service credits to use during your stay. When we go, we buy no food other than the dining plan and always have plenty of food.

We like 1900 Park Fare- Breakfast has Mary Poppins
Crystal Palace- Pooh and friends
Garden Grill- Farmer Mickey, Chip & Dale
Donald's Safari breakfast

If you only do character meals, you will probaly get tired of buffets. You might want to do a couple of reg. restaurants.

We went to Crystal Palace last year with my daughter who had just turned 8. Since it was our first trip to Disney and it had been planned at the last minute, this was the reservation we could get for our last night. I was so surprised at how much she enjoyed the characters -- so much so, she insisted on going back again this year. I wouldn't have thought that would be the case. She also really enjoyed the food, which is a plus considering she's really into basics like meat and potatoes (which they are good at). So definitely go to Crystal Palace. We ate during the fireworks (you can see them through the windows) and exited to a virtually uncrowded park. :cheer2:

We did, Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, O'hana, Tusker House, for charachter meals and Whispering Canyon for fun:) They were able to get many autographs and have a few minuts of quality time and the food was great in our opinion..good luck :)

I agree!:thumbsup2 I would suggest doing a princess meal, a meal with Mickey and friends, and Crystal Palace with Pooh and friends. Then I would put in some other kid friendly places. Some of my kids favs: Coral Reef, 'Ohana, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Biergarten although there are plenty others.
