Dining Plan - Bring a friend?

When you get the Dining Plan do the people in your room have to be the only ones using the credits? For instance, can we skip dinner one night and then bring friends with us the next night and use the saved credits for them? Has anyone done this? Could we use our chidl's credit for one of our friends and then pay for the childs meal?

although the credits are supposed to be used for only those in your room, I would say that yes you could do it. The reason I say this is because when we were there they never did ask to see all of our room keys. They always took Dh's card and charged it off on his. After the first day I never carried my card or DD's card for this reason. It just seemed like one more thing to keep up with.

I would be prepared to pay for your friend just in case but I don't think you would have a problem.
