Dining Plan Breakdown

I'm hoping someone can help guide me here. My wife and I are planning on going in late August, but we are not big eaters, so we think. Anyhow, I thought I remembered seeing something on here before that helped you decide if the dining plan was the way to go or not. Kinda like a spread sheet that I can put in my numbers and see whats best for us. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't have a spread sheet, but it is very easy.

Go thru the restaurants that you would plan to eat at, pick a meal for everyone in your party, total that up for every meal, every day and total together. If that number is more than what you would pay using a dining plan then the plans would benefit you.
If not, then you would be better off paying OOP. Very simple, no spread sheet needed.

It is the only way to really know if the plans are right for you.

Nadjalu is correct and no spreadsheet is needed (yes, I'm aware there's a link for one in my signature below, I'll get to that in a moment ). Adding up (or even getting a general idea of) what you'd probably order and then comparing to the cost is pretty much all that's needed. It's a quick and dirty way to tell if it'll work and works great.

For more fine detail, the spreadsheet down in my signature (though it's only in Open Office format until I convert it to Excel tomorrow at work (just updated it quite a bit, so the existing Excel format is a bit off)) has some nifty added features like comparing the different plans side by side (with the ability to specify a different itinerary for each), cost/value per credit analysis, and all that funky stuff. It's probably overkill for the majority though, but I like to see it (which is why I wrote it in the first place ).

I know a few others have passed sheets around too, but I honestly couldn't tell you where to find them . I tend to have a "Make my own first, ask questions later" attitude about these things ><.
