Dining plan at LTT??

We booked for LTT on the plan and I was looking at the menu and it says with the meal thry bring you they also bring an apple thing. I do not like those at all. Is this suposed to be my desert? or do I get to order one off the menu? I sure hope I will not be stuck without desert. Hubby does not like them either so we would neither one get deserts with this meal if that is the case. Please tell me they let you choose one from the menu???

I was wondering the same thing, however I fear we are stuck with the apple crisp. I don't mind fruit desserts myself, but my husband does not eat fruit at all. I do think they should, at minimum, have a chocolate dessert as a choice along with the fruit dessert. We are in the same boat at 'Ohana and CRT, where the only covered desserts are pineapple and blueberry cobbler respectively. The blueberry cobbler sounds good, but the apple crisp and pineapple will probably not be enjoyed by anyone in my party, unfortunately.

Since we are doing the free dining plan I'm not too upset, if my husband, or anyone else in our party, wants to order a chocolate dessert we'll just have to pay for it out of pocket, no harm, no foul. But if I were paying for the plan, I would be quite a bit more perturbed that my choices were so limited.

Yeah I know what ya mean. We are basically paying for our dining. We gave up a group rate we were going on and are paying an extra $60 a day now.. dining would have been $70 so we are only saving $10 a day from what dining plan would have originally cost us so I want to get our moneys worth.

Now about CRT, I thought you could get any desert there? Are you talking about lunch or dinner? We are going there for dinner and were planning to get the special celebration slipper. I shall be highly upset if I can not get it.

Don't know if this is a change, or if it alternates, but the reviews I've read lately for LTT say Cherry instead of apple.

the dessert at LTT dinner has nothing to do with the dining plan.
It's been a set menu--traditional thanksgiving dinner served family style - includes dessert, we weren't given a choice when we went, waaay before the dining plan was introduced.

If you are talking about dinner, there is no menu as it is an all you can eat meal brought to your table. The dessert is whatever comes with the meal. Again since there is no menu there won't be a choice

These are the desserts from the lunch menu and you can always ask if you can substitute but don't be upset if you can't

Liberty Shortcake -- Fresh buttermilk biscuit with vanilla bean ice cream, macerated berries, and whipped cream $5.49

Caramel Apple Tart -- shortbread crust, sugared apples, and vanilla bean ice cream $4.29

Butter Griddled Pound Cake -- served with warm pecan caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream $4.29

Chocolate Liberation Cake -- warm chocolate lava cake with raspberry sauce $5.49

At CRT-You get to pick from any dessert at Dinner, at the character lunch there is the preset blueberry cobbler. My dd4 loved her Cindercelebration Slipper dessert.
