dining plan and tickets

I am renting points for the first time, and we want the dining plan. Do we still have to purchase our tickets from disney like you do when paying cash, or can I buy them elsewhere?

You may buy your park tickets anywhere you wish. The DVC version of the dining plan is not a package item like it is with Disney Travel, with DVC it is a stand alone add-on to your reservation. You will pay for the dining plan when you check-in, but it must be linked into your reservation. Be sure to let the person your are renting from kow you want the dining plan, as they must call DVC Member Services to have the plan linked into your reservation.

Thank you! I just didn't want to buy them, get to the world, and realize I needed to buy the tickets through them!!! Thanks for the info!
