Dining Plan and Teens

We just booked for 5 nights in November! Whoo Hooo! This is our first time at WDW in 4 years and first time ever with free dining! We are staying in a cabin at FW.
My question is this...can my 15, and two 12 year olds go off in the parks and order their counter service lunches without us? We will probably be splitting up some since they are now old enough to ride alone and I was wondering about them being able to get lunch alone?

Yes, they can. All the DDP credits assigned to your reservation can be accessed from any key card, including the kids' cards. You may want to be clear with them about how many credits are theirs to use.
