We will be traveling to WDW in the beginning of May. Myself, my husband and my 2 daughters (ages 3 and 4) have one room and my mom and stepdad are also going and have their own room. These are two seperate reservations, but at the same hotel.

One afternoon/evening my mom and stepdad plan to hang out with my daughters so my husband and I can explore on our own. However, will their magicbands be able to access the dining plan? Or will I need to leave money so that my girls can get dinner? I hate to do that, since we paid for the dining plan....but they need to eat!

Any info on this would be great! Thanks :)

Their Magic Bands will only link to their reservation, so they wouldn't be able to access anything on your reservation. I don't know if they could use your daughters' Magic Bands to pay though, since your daughters' Magic Bands would access your reservation.

I believe your daughters bands would access your dining credits if set up that way at checkin.

The grandparents must have along with them a magic band from your room (the kids' bands will do) and they must know your room account's PIN number. they will need to scan a band from the girls' room and enter a PIN number so that they can pay for your daughters' meals with DDP credits.

When we checked into our resort we were asked if we wanted to allow PIN access on the children's bands or just adults, so make sure you specify that you'd like your daughter's magic band to have PIN access.
