I know you use the KTTW card to deduct your credit from the dining plan. But what if you want to charge a meal and not use a credit?

We're on the Premium package next week. There's probably going to be one CS and some snacks that we don't want credit used for. Can we just tell the check out person to charge us? Is this going to confuse them? Or should we just carry cash (which I hate doing)?

Thanks

No, there won't be confusion.

They usually ask before the meal (or the snacks) if you want to use credits or not. They can even give you two bills; one with credits and one charged to your room (or pay with cash).

You just tell them if you are going to use credits or not and then pay them however you want to.

I was on the dining plan in Sept/Oct and charged lots of things to my room. No problem.

You can carry cash. You can tell the CM at the time of purchase. It won't be confusing to them, although they may point out that you have plenty of credits. Just be polite and say that you wish to use cash at this time.

Thanks so much for the speedy response!!! We just booked this at 8pm last night and we've never used the dining plan. We always go on DVC points so it's all new to us.

thanks

We charged a couple meals to our room (even though we had dining credits left) and had no problem doing so. :)

We chared some meals, to our room and never had a problem. The only time we had an issue was in American Pavilion in Epcot everyone in our group except for me ordered meals while all I wanted was a drink. I asked the person taking our order to use the snack credit for the drink but she must of misheard me and used a counter service for it. They did however correct it once I brought this to their attention.
