Hi all......

:headache:

Right...my indecision has struck again! I am still debating whether to add DDP or not to our October trip. I have 17 days to decide really as our 180 is then, and I'd be tempted to book up CRT (which I heard is still 180 - :confused3)

So I made this little list:

Breakfast

Boma – $34

Kona Café – $30

Lunch

Sci Fi Dine In - $45

Gd Floridian Café - $38

T-Rex (or Dinner) - $60

Beaches & Cream - $35

Dinner

Ohana - $54

California Grill - $112
OR
Narcoosee’s - $100

Total - $508/£390

DDP is £559 for our stay. Would we spend £170/$230 in 14 days on snacks and CS? ($17 a day?)

I planned for us to share CS meals really, as they look HUGE!

Help, pleeeeease!! :worship:

is T rex on dinning plan as it is not owned by Disney?

for me, I wouldn't want to eat a counter service and table service meal on the same day, its too much for me when we did DDP I had loads of CS credits left. If you are having a table service meal everyday you could easily share a CS meal.

No - sorry T-Rex isn't on DP I know, jsut wanted to include it on our list before I was figuring out DDP.

We've only done the DDP when it's been free-and like others we found it too much food-had CS credits left (well apart from DS15!) and loads of snack credits-didn't use many of those at all. We very often shared CS meals. I don't think I'd 'buy it', we enjoy some meals off site too-so that helped me decide. It would be good value if you planned to eat all meals on Disney (didn't have car etc) and could keep up with it!

Cool, thanks - yes we will be car-less. Although will have a couple of US/SW days.....

I figure though we can use one CS for breakfast and one CS for lunch and share....

Yeah, we used some that way too-especially pancakes-four large pancakes far too much for one (even DS!). Also with breakfast you can have two juices (to make up for no dessert) so sharing works well.

we are doing ddp for the first time this aug so i cant really help

But some counter service are not that big! say a cheese burger and chips i would say is just the same as eating a quater pounder meal from mcdonalds.

I wish we had done it for our wedding trip but as the $ was so strong we didnt add it but I'm glad we get to use it this year.

I would agree that not all portions are big enough to share, I don't think a burger and chips is big enough to share.

There is stuff that you could share though - fish and chips at Epcot, the sandwiches at the main street bakery, you get two savory's and a dessert with DDP so that's plenty to share. The drinks are definitely big enough to share, me and my sister always used to share drinks, and if you use snack credits well you can get something quite filling.

Doing DDP for 1st time this August, I am worried it won't be enough food. After seeing pics of entrées in some TS restaurants, some look to have nothing to them. Never come across a CS big enough to share, I like my food:rotfl2: And DS is worse than me now, 6'2" teenager with hollow legs.

We thought it would be too much food and that we'd have credits left but it actually worked really well for us: I booked a few breakfasts and signature meals so there wasn't the pressure to have a TS dinner every single day and we used most of the CS credits for breakfast (we're breakfast fans and find this works better for us on holidays than having a proper lunch most days, we didn't share any CS meals though.. Like Wayne and his DS we like our food ;)) We ended up using some of the snack credits for water but i've heard of people buying the bagged sweets as gifts for friends at home or as plane snacks :) Even though we got it for free last time I would consider paying for it on a future trips.

Hey Victoria :)

When we went last year we ate a mixture of counter service and table service - we never ate more than 2 meals a day, and would quite often a have a breakfast (such as an omlette), and then not eat until dinner - we would obviously occasionally have an ice cream or cookies in the afternoon though!:rotfl:

As you know were on the DDP are I dont think were going to be able to eat it all - you can use you snack credits for small cookie gift boxes and things to take back for people (I remember loads of people doing this last year) as long as they are under $4, or for drinks obviously?

Thanks everyone.

I'm started to get very tempted by DDP! Although I don't know how we'll eat so many TS!

At least it means we can try Narcoossee's, CG AND CRT (if we can get reservations anyway!) ;)

Is there somewhere I can find like a super in depth DDP guide (like which are 2 credits, what counts for snacks etc. etc?

Regarding my previous question - I found the snack list and FAQ over on the DDP thread - WOW that's a lot of snacks!!! :lmao:
