Dining Plan and DVC

Hi -

My husband and I are new DVC members (bought resale at WLV) and have not yet used our membership. Are we able to purchase the dining plan with DVC visits? Better still - can we get the free dining offer Disney is currently running with a DVC stay? : )

If you stay using your points, yes you can purchase the DDP for your stay, but you can't get free dining, that's for when you pay for rack rate rooms and get park tickets at the same time.

We have the same access to free DDP that everyone else does. If we want to pay rack rate for a room at a resort which has Free DDP package availability, buy a park ticket, and thereby get free DDP, we can do so.

But free DDP with a DVC points stay...nope.
