Dining plan and DVC question

Does everyone listed on the reservation have to be on the same dining package?

we are staying from the 2-11th and are on the DDP

my mom is joining us from the 5-9 and doesn't want to be on the plan

Not sure how it works with DVC

If we dont add mom to reservation she will be unable to use the magical express which means she will have to take a taxi from MCO to OKW- does anyone know how much that would cost?

I think a Taxi is somewhere around $35. I would guess if it does not break the occupancy limit of the room then your mom would not have to be on the reservation. She will not have a room key but she can still get tickets to the park. Just my guess as i don't know the official Disney policy for visitors that are only there for part of the trip.

If not on the reservation, as you said, ME will not be possible for her, also she will not be able to utilize EMHs since she won't have a room key.

You can break up your reservation though - do it in segments. Have the DDP up until your mother's arrival, don't have it for the days she is there, and then have another segment adding it back.

The official Disney policy is that everyone in the room has to be on the reservation.

What if you add them to the reservation when they arrive? They may not be able to use DME coming in unless you could add them after you arrive and before they do. I've this is possible for the hotels, not sure about DVC.
