I'm helping a friend plan her family's first trip to Disney: 2 adults and 1 child. They are going on the dining plan. My question is this:

For their counterservice meals, their daughter won't always want what is on the kid's menu. I know that their room keys will read: 2 adults, 1 child. Will they NOT be allowed to order 3 adult counter service meals because of what is on the card? I know that this is the case at Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom. What about other places? Thanks for your help!

One thing that they can do is to split 2 counter serve meals and just not get the kids meal. My 18yo DD and I shared several counter serve meals to stretch the credits and had plenty of food. One the days that we each got a meal we weren't able to eat all the food since we're not used to getting a beverage, meal, and a dessert.

As I understand it they will not be able to get 2 adult meals, but it won't hurt to ask at each place.
