Dining plan and allocated rooms...

Hiya! We are going to DW in September and had some confusion about the DDP and room availability.

While we originally wanted to stay at the Poly, our travel agent says it's booked full (because of the free dining). I checked online and it shows that there ARE rooms available.

I called Disney about this, and they claim that the promotion is given an allocated amount of rooms for the DDP. And if I wanted to the Poly and the DDP; I'd have to pay for it...

Something just doesn't sound right... Has anyone else heard of this?

Absolutely.

Without knowing the exact numbers, only a certain number of rooms per night per resort are available on ANY promotion. Apparently, all the free dining plan-designated rooms are booked for when you'll be there.

You have several choices:
Change your resort choice
Change your dates
Skip the Dining Plan
Pay for the Dining Plan

Any ONE of these should enable you to get a room with the FDP promotion.
