What do you do if there is a 2 yr old in the party and your on the dining plan? He's a big eater, do I pay for his meal, or is he free and can he order from the menu?

He eats free if you dine at a buffet. If you eat at a regular TS meal, you will need to pay for anything you order for him. He could eat off of your plate, but if he's like my grandkids, that doesn't work. We always buy them their own meals including the 1 year old.

I have a 20 month old. We plan on dining at a lot of character buffets (DxDDP :thumbsup2) where he'll get to eat for free. For other TS meals, we plan on sharing with him. Mostly he'll eat off my plate. Thankfully, he's not a picky eater. We do plan on purchasing his own meals sometimes, it all depends on what's on the menu.

It does "screw up" the DxDDP a bit, as he's not included. I plan on using our Disney Visa Rewards card for extra food items like his meals, turkey legs for DH, and plenty of grey goose lemonade slushies for mommy :rotfl2:

My daughter will also turn 2 during the trip she is a light & picky eater so i will have to share with her or waste food & money ordering a meal of her own.

We are going in January and have the same problem we have a two year old and a little girl who is turning 1 on the trip. So we plan on going to a lot of buffets. But my 2 year old is also a big eater so on the non-buffets I will order a kids meal for her and charge to the room (that way if my husband wants an app., and I am sure he will, then it will also be added to the room.)

Our 2 year old grandson will not be on the dinning plan, what about "family style" eating, like the Garden Grill. Will they just bring him a plate? Or will we need to order a meal for him?:confused3

I believe with the all-you-can-eat "family style" meals you can feed your 2-year-old without any issue, similar to the buffets. I think Disney's theory is even a 2-and-under that is a heavy eater isn't going to really eat a lot, and the food that they eat isn't particularly expensive.
