Dining plan add-how long before my trip ?

Hello all-
Were be at WDW in 12 days. I wanted to wait until right before my trip to add the dining plan as they charge your card right away... How many days before check-in do I have to add the Dining Plan ?

As a note, any time less than about a week out there's a very good chance of a ~$50ish change fee being applied (this is 2nd hand info btw) which is rarely waived even if upgrading the package. So, you may not want to wait until the very last minute for that.

Not the OP here but I just got off the phone with Disney trying to see how much it would be to upgrade from regular plan to deluxe as we have already paid our pkg off. Anyway the cm (Hannah) said there was never a 'fee' to upgrade a plan, only if you were downgrading.

The CMs also quote "$90" per night for DxDDP (for 2011) , I'd take what they say with a grain of salt.

Under most normal circumstances, they don't and I agree. However, it has happened, several times, and especially inside that 7day or so window. (And it's a higher fee than outside).

If the OP doesn't mind that potential, then go right ahead, if you don't get charged, great, just don't be overly surprised if there is an extra $50 or so included on that. That's all I was saying.
