Dining plan & 1 day admission ?

Hope I am asking this on the right board, here goes.......
I know that you can get the dining plan only if your room is at the rack rate and you have to purchase at least one days park admission, right?
My question is ........Is the one day park admission non -expiring? If so, do you just keep your room key/card when the vacation is over and use it on the next trip at the gate?
I guess what I'm trying to say is, how do I retain the one day admission for another visit, and how do I redeem it in the future?

You don't have to pay rack rate for the room, you just have to purchase a package that includeds room and atleast a 1 day base ticket. You can then save the ticket for a future use or upgrade at guest services. Yes, save your room key for the next trip.

You only have to pay rack rate for FREE DINING when they have that offer available you do NOT have to to add the dining plan to a package.

If you book a package including dining plan and a rate code comes out for which you qualify you call and have them add the code and adjust the rate.
as for your ticket question. The ticket will be good until it is used. so in that sense it is non expiring. many people with APs use the one day ticket as a credit when renewing their AP.

I guess they still let you use unused tickets to apply for an ap. Thanks. They used to let you purchase a multiday pass say in July and then upgrade that ticket (used but not greater than 1 year since first use)to an annual pass for the difference in cost. We did this many times in the past but they no longer do it. It used to be kind of an installment payment plan and also if for some reason you couldn't return, you only purchased the 5 day and not an annual pass.
