Dining Package Question

But the initial charge of $35/$10 has tax added as part of the package. So actually, you're paying like 11%+ in tax.

The $35/$10 is taxed at the 11.5% rate when you purchase your package. However, when you eat at the restaurants, the tax and tip on your bill is already included in the dining plan- you won't owe any extra $$$ when you use the Dining plan. The only time you will have any extra to pay is if you get alcoholic drinks, etc.

Your dining plan is taxed at whatever rate your resort tax is. The All Stars are higher than the other resorts because they are in a different county. The tax rate for dining if you stay at most resorts is 11.5% added to that $35 Adult and $10 Child price.

Check out www.touringplans.com for lots of info on the dining plan and to see if it is a good deal for your family. :)
