I was trying to find a site map of the area...I know Mimi's is right there but I was wondering if there are other restaurants in the same area...

Thanks!

NO!! Not Captain Kidd's (Ask the other DISboard members. ;) )

Tony Roma's is great,

Denny's is great,

IHOP is far too pricey and wasn't that clean, IMO, even with the kids eat free it was still around 20% more than Denny's. :confused3

McD's - CLEAN!!! CONSISTENT service and we always love their food. Cookies in the park are a great snack!!

Edited to add: Mimi's is our FAVORITE but I know you already knew about it. Superb customer service and fantastic, varied menu!
Quiznos - YEP!!

We LOVE Mimi's :goodvibes

The kids portions are large which works great for our 10 and 5 year olds.

You can't go wrong with Mimi's :)

Mimis is great. If you decide to eat there sign up for their email club so you can get a buy one get one free breakfast coupon.

The only other walking distance one we went to was dennys. It was surpisingly good but it probably depends on what you order.

And I agree with the above poster. Just say no to captain kidds.

I will also add that we ended up eating IN dl more than we though we would. The salad at the plaza is fantastic. The prices are a bit steep, but most meals easily feed two and in a few cases 3 or 4.

Mimi's, Millie's, Denny's, these are all great. :) Avoid Ihop, it's way overpriced, avoid Captain Kidd's like the plague.....you may actually get the plague from eating there. LOL There's also a McDonald's, Tony Roma's and a few other places on Harbor that are easy to get to. :) And never forget DTD, they have great places to eat there, as does the Anaheim Garden Walk :)

WE LOVE MIMI"S! We mostly eat there when we visit Disneyland. Their prices are very affordable and they have a great kids menu. When the kids were younger we used have the split there meals there and they were very helpful bringing out the plates already divided for them. Sometimes my husband and I shared meals there also. We also ate at Mcdonalds and Tony Romas. DO not eat at IHOP or Dennys. YUCK!

Since you didn't specify which HoJo, I can tell you the one in Tallahassee, FL right off I-10 has a Melting Pot right across the street.

I agree with IHOP. Blech. Can you share with us what was wrong with Denny's? I'm curious to know. Thanks! :)

I'm not a big McD's fan but I have to say I've had some of the best fast-food service at that Harbor McD's. Impressive...all those hungry Disney folks would make me crazy and mean. :lmao:

I know you said walking but Gardenwalk is a very short cab ride away and has loads of good food options.

We've also ordered pizza and eaten it poolside at HOJO...kids loved that!

I can honestly say I had better service at the Denny's across from the park than at restaurants where the bill passed $100.

Agreed. Pancakes and hot chocolate are so good during that after midnight walk back to the hotel too.

Yup, we had one trip that we were there just for the weekend, Friday to Sunday, we ate at the Denny's on Harbor 3 times....LOL We've never had any problems with that Denny's at all!

If we are not eating at Mimi's (my staple when at HoJos) we wander down to the mexican takeaway next to subway on the corner of Katella and Harbor (i think dont quote me) They are super YUMMY!

There's nothing acceptable within walking distance. Mimi's is absolutely digusting.

Your best bet is to pile into a car and travel down Harbor a bit. There are restaurants (I think there's an Outback Steakhouse and a Red Robin nearby, for example) after you leave the immediate Disneyland Resort area. These also have less inflated price points.

I, too, am not a fan of Mimi's. I wouldn't go so far as to call it disgusting, but I certainly don't go out of my way to eat there......I suppose it's good if you really like gravy.

We found a few places in the new mall...where Bubba Gump's is...plus the Block at Orange. But nor really walking distance to answer OP.

DTD has a few good places worth trying. We have always missed Ralph Brennans, so will be making a special point to get there next trip.

But as far as Mimi's, I never really felt it lived up to the hype. It is relatively inexpensive, though, and a very handy location.

We eat at Mimi's regularly, every couple of months at least (we aren't eating out a lot right now so that's regularly for us), I've actually never had anything with gravy on it at Mimi's...I LOVE their salads and the French Onion Soup is very good!! Mimi's isn't disgusting, I would never call it that at all. Mimi's is good, it's fast, priced well (not overinflated at all) and the portions are huge!! In fact....now that I've read this, maybe we will do Mimi's for dinner tonight! :) That sounds really good actually! :)

I always have the salads or the burgers and havent never had a bad meal!!!! we even do takeaway from there! I wish they had one in Australia i miss it all the time

They must have forgotten the gravy on my club sandwich and salad:scared1:
