OK friends I really need some input please. My mom is coming with us in April and she is an active 78 year old who loves the charecters and is still a child at heart but NOT a huge eater. What would be a fun spot for her, and it doesn't need to have charecters, that would be extra extra special.

So far I have booked 1900 Park Fare, San Angel Inn, 50's Prime Time, Kona Kaffe,Concourse Steakhouse (she'll get a kick out of the monorail overhead) and O'Hana's (but I might change this due to the negative reviews lately). We are there for 7 nights so I need a couple more that would be appealing to a 78 year old. Best suggestions please :grouphug:

I would replace Ohana with Liberty Tree Tavern. It has just a classic atmosphere that appeals to everyone -- kids, middle-agers, seniors.
The food is a traditional Thanksgiving meal. As good as homemade? No way -- but very satisfying and I think your Mom would get a big kick out of it.
Have fun whatever your choose!

Your list looks great. I would pick California Grill instead of Concourse Steakhouse. I think your mother will love your choices.

My Mother enjoyed Biergarten, 1900 Park Fare breakfast, Crystal Palace dinner and the GF afternoon tea when we took her.

Your mom might get a kick out of The Browan Derby if she was a movie buff at all. It's a replica of the original BD in Hollywood. The walls are decorated with caricatures of all the old stars. It's a reflection of an era gone bye and might be fun for her. Prime Time 50's is also a great throwback to all the household items from that decade and the waiters are all a comic act. Want to have a real fun time take her to the Whispering Canyon at the WL. It's loud there but every waiter is a comedian and they get the whole room involved in fun things. Quite a show.

Have you considered Sci-fi? Bet it would bring back memories of the old drive-ins for your mom.

Hi. I got to take my Gram for her 88th birthday last year. We went to Les Chefs and she loved it. Based on our trip, I wouldn't worry about her age as much as go and have as much fun as possible. PS Gram also enoyed her first roller coaster. Have a great time. :wizard:
