9 night stay; Half of the meals are character meals with one meal - the Candlelight Dining Package and another at the Cinderella's Royal Table (if that matters).

I am an AP holder so I was going to get 20% DDE card.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. Are you looking for suggestions as to places to eat? Half of the meals as character meals seems like a lot to me, but you do have plenty of options.

We also get the TIW card (Tables in Wonderland...formerly called Disney Dining Experience) and it most definitely pays for itself. It sounds like it would do the same for you with all of those table-service meals.

Just confirming that DDE card is better way to go then soing a dining plan. We will be in Concierge at Poly so I am sure that we won't go to every table meal. It is just me and my seven year old. I can keep up with him but sometimes eating at lounge is needed break.

I would definetly recommend the TIW card over the dining plan. I think you will have alot more flexibility. Sometimes I like to have a salad and appetizer as my meal.

With the dining plan you are stuck with ordering an entree and dessert, plus paying the gratuity on top of that and if you want an appetizer it is not included.

When are you going. I believe the DDE/TiW has some holiday blackout dates?
