I looked into a pkg with the DDE. It includes (according to the travel agent) one sit-down meal, one counter service meal and one snack per person per day at a cost of $34.99 per person per day.

We LIKE to do sit downs and it is our honeymoon so we will pobably do lots. We don't drink alcohol so that's no problem since I know it doens't include alcoholic beverages. Are any restaurants not included (like Cindy's or character meals)? Are the menus limited? Are appetizers included? It almost sounds too good to be true!

This is not DDE, it's the Magic Your Way meal plan.

You might want to do a search on the Restaurants board.

Jenn,

My wife and I did the Disney Dining package on our honeymoon (actually, it was called Wishes at the time) and I can tell you that we strongly recommend getting the package.

We're going back in December, this time as a family with our little boy, my brother and my parents, and we're all getting the package.

It's just so easy to go to a park, find a nice place to eat and not have to worry about how you're going to pay for it.

It's changed a little, but it's still basically the same package we got. The only difference is that our package allowed two table service meals per day, instead of one table service, one counter service and one snack.

And to answer another of your questions, you can use one of the table service meal options for a character dining experience. If you want to go to a dinner show like Hoop-Dee-Doo, however, you'll have to use two table service meal options per person. We just paid for Hoop-Dee-Doo and enjoyed our two meals in the parks. HDD is worth the money.

Believe me, the package you looked into will be worth it. I'm a big guy with a good appetite and it's enough to keep me full. The table service meal includes an appetizer (per person), an entree, a beverage and a dessert (per person). That's enough to fill you up for a while. The counter service meals are basically hamburger, fries and drink (or some variation of a combo meal) The snack is nothing more than a coke or ice cream cone.

The disney site has a great PDF file (you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader) explaining the Magic Your Way package. It tells what restaurants are table service, which are counter service and which are snack places.

You can find all that information here:

Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to send me a personal message.
