For my upcoming 10-day solo trip on the deluxe dining plan, I'm planning on making ADR's at the following:

Boma (breakfast) - never been
Cape May Cafe (breakfast) - never been
O'Hana's (breakfast) - never been
Crystal Palace (breakfast) - must dine for me
Tusker House (lunch) - first time since renovation
Chef Mickey's (breakfast) - have not been in a long time
Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch) - have not been in a long time
Akershus (breakfast) - never been
Crystal Palace (dinner) - must dine for me
Cinderella's Royal Table (breakfast) - never been
Chefs de France (lunch) - never been
50's Primetime (dinner) - must dine for me
Kona (dinner) - have not been in a long time
Whispering Canyon Cafe (lunch) - have not been in a long time. On the fence with this one.
Rose & Crown (dinner) - must dine for me
Le Cellier (dinner) - must dine for me
Brown Derby (lunch) - have not been in a long time. On the fence with this one.
Hoop Dee Doo (dinner) - have not been in a long time
Narcoossee's (dinner) - never been
Yachtsman Steakhouse (dinner) - have not been in a long time
California Grill (dinner) - have not been in a long time

Alot of these, either I have never been to before or not for a really long time. What do you think? Should I replace any? If so, why and with what?

Boma (breakfast) - never been We love it, Boma is our favorite breakfast is all of WDW. If you click on my Oct link I have a ton of buffet food pics

Cape May Cafe (breakfast) - never been Second favorite! Again, tons of pics in my Oct link

O'Hana's (breakfast) - never been Great food and great fun! Killer pineapple and cinnamon raisin rolls

Crystal Palace (breakfast) - must dine for me Fantastic place to eat! Tons of pics in my January link

Chef Mickey's (breakfast) - have not been in a long time We did this one last month (pics in my March link) and DH loved it so much he requested it for our June trip

Akershus (breakfast) - never been Been twice, great food and tons of it...pics in my January link

Crystal Palace (dinner) - must dine for me We have not been in a few years so we ate there in Aug 08 and found the food to be way too salty to enjoy...great desserts tho

Chefs de France (lunch) - never been Had a wonderful dinner there!

50's Primetime (dinner) - must dine for me THE best fried chicken ever

Kona (dinner) - have not been in a long time Not my favorite...we have cancelled the last 3 trips because the food was just eh for me....great wings and bread tho

Le Cellier (dinner) - must dine for me AH-MAZING! We ate there last month and the filet just melted in your mouth...no need to use teeth!

Yachtsman Steakhouse (dinner) - have not been in a long time We ate here in April 08 after not dining there for many years...while I enjoyed it DH did not..he said he has had better steaks at Jiko and Flying Fish and the Wave...

Have you thought about trying the Wave? We ate there last month (tons of pics in my March link) and OMIGOD the food was terrific and the ambiance was so nice and relaxing

Of the two that you are on the fence about, Whispering Canyon Cafe and Brown Derby, we say dump them. WCC was the worse meal of our trip this past September and DH got sick on the food (and the service was AWFUL!). We've not done Brown Derby in six years, but we were unimpressed with it and have not gone back (even though we try to give each place two tries) because we don't want to waste two credits on it when there are so many places that we thoroughly enjoy and places we still want to try.

The rest of them sound great!

If I cancel Kona, WCC & Brown Derby, what would be the best places to replace them with? I did look at the menus at The Wave and unfortunately, being a picky eater, there was very little that I would actually eat there (no offense).

Is Citricos or Flying Fish worth 2 credits? Should I try Cape May @ dinner? What about Cindy's for dinner?

Should I give the 1900 Park Fare a try for dinner?

I am afraid I agree about cancelling Kona and Brown Derby. We loved both in 2002, 2003, and 2006. But in December 2008, both were seriously lacking.

I like Whispering Canyon for breakfast. I do not order the skillet, but the Western Omelet is delicious and our service has always been wonderful. I think the place is a hoot, and I love being in the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. So I wouldn't necessarily cancel lunch or dinner here.

I would replace Kona and Brown Derby. And if you want to replace Whispering Canyon Cafe, then I would go with:

  1. Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (the food was excellent in both 2006 and 2008)
  2. Coral Reef (you will love being surrounded by the aquarium and the food was superb in December 2008)
  3. Mama Melrose (if you love Italian, it was delicious)
  4. Grand Floridian Cafe (to be honest, for some reason the service has been snooty, but the food is so-o-o-o good)

Hope this helps! You are dining at all of my favorite places! You are going to have such a wonderful trip :goodvibes

Should I give the 1900 Park Fare a try for dinner?

Oh gosh no! We ate there in January and the food was on the verge of inedible..it was so salty it was horrible! Anyplace is better than that!

Have you thought about Grand Floridian Cafe? The food was fantastic!

Or what about someplace in DTD?

I know you said the menu at the Wave isnt grabbing you but if you like Cali Grill I bet you would love the Wave

I don't see anything on your list for Animal Kingdom. We REALLY enjoyed Yak & Yeti when we were there in September. It turned out to be the second best meal of our trip. Another vote for Mama Melrose as a pp suggested.

have a great time with all of that food:goodvibes

I am planning to dine at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom.

I LOVED Kona! Their Tuna Oscar was to die for! It was the best meal I've ever eaten at Disney!
