We will be in the Magic Kingdom the day of a Halloween party but not attending the party that night. We can eat in sit down restaurants with ADR times up to 7:00, right? So if we had a 6:15 reservation and were seated at 6:30 and finished at 7:30 or 8 that is allowed even if we don't have a party ticket?? Just making sure. :)

You can book up to 6:55. After that the system should tell you that a party ticket is needed.

You will be fine with a 6:15 ADR. After you are done eating they will escort you to the park entrance. So make sure you use the restroom at the restaurant before leaving, as they won't let you stop for anything.

Yes. You will be escorted out of the park after you finish eating.

Absoulety enjoy your time in the parks since its limited that day - yet still paying the full price. Get all your magic out of your time!

You will be escorted directly out when done?

We did that- had a late (it must have be 7? or whatever the latest was- reservation at CRT- we didn't get out of there until LATE- reservations ran late and dinner took a while, we were the last table to eat. As a matter of fact, my husband asked the chef to send out whatever dish he thought was the best of 3, because he couldn't decide- and the chef sent out ALL THREE!!! LOL

Back to the point- we were escorted out in a group, headed by a CM with a big sign or something , so the crowds would let us through- and OMG the crowds were INSANE. Holy smokes I've NEVER ever seen the park like that! Nuts!!!

Just to be clear, no one is missing out on park time because of the parties. Before Disney started having them they shut the park down without fireworks. Back when, Epcot was the only park that had a nighttime show. The party is an opportunity to pay extra to enjoy extra hours in the park. Nothing is being taken away.

Most nights in November, it's just a difference of one hour, 8pm closing moved up to 7pm. (of course, you lose the "loiter/linger" time in the shops as well on party nights...)

But looking at the week of November 30...

Normal MK park day 9am to 10pm.
MVMCP MK park day 9am to 7pm.

21% less park time on a party day during that week.

Note that I said Back When. Before party nights were a thing, MK closed down early. With no fireworks. Now non party nights are longer than they used to be, and a guest can buy extra time in the park by purchasing a party ticket. A gain over how things used to be 20 years ago.

That was then; this is now. Or, more accurately, next November.

Small comfort to the park visitor of today whose only MK day happens to be a party night.

From all I've read crowds are much lighter those days. So you have better touring.

I don't think anyone needs comfort. Party nights are published way in advance. And anyone can choose to purchase or not purchase tickets. But you are missing my point. There has been a net gain in hours at MK for everyone, and the opportunity to get even more hours. And those things are both positives, not negatives.
