Hi all, we are returning for our 2nd trip to DLP in feb 2011. Last year we (me, DH DDx2 DSx2 and Mum in law) had the free full board meal voucher option included, but no such luck this time! Being quite a large family we are looking for cheap and cheerful ways to dine, we are not too fussy to be honest and preffered the buffet styles last time. Some of the places seemed reasonable especially with the vouchers, but as we do not have them this time, i was wondering if you could still do the meal deals they offer for the same price as the vouchers,if that makes sense?!! I.e. in annettes diner there was a set menu for vouchers, is it possible to order from such menu's without paying with vouchers? any other tips on dining would be very useful also. Many thanks in advance.xx

I THINK in Annettes if you had the voucher the meal was a wee tad different, I think they added a starter?????? Can't remember but it wasn't major!..have you looked up the dlp food guide?

annettes do a meal for 17.50. its what you get with the vouchers without the starter

most places have a set meal but its not equal the price of the vouchers.

the buffets start from 21 euros per adult but that is without a drink.

I think the buffets are good value - enjoyed Plaza Gardens and Restaurant de Stars - and plan on trying Agrabah next trip.:)

:thumbsup2Thanks for the replies and welcomes:) checked out the food guide very very useful thanks for posting! i really wanted to go for the meal plan, but just couldn't afford itwhen we booked last week as the whole holiday needs paying next month, and i just couldn't stretch to that extra 500quid.But, i have realised now that the plan doesn't really save a great deal of cash, so by the time we go i'll have the money saved up along with souvenier spends, so dining at the parks should be ok i think!! Thank you

Hi madmish, had you thought about applying for the shareholders club? You get all kinds of discounts think it's 10-15% off of food in most resturants and off of souveniers too as well as entrance to salon mickey for free drinks and snacks (9am -12 noon i believe). You can either buy 20 shares which with fees will cost approx £90 - £100 or buy 5 shares then a fee of around 30 euros every two years. You also get 10% disc in uk disney stores have a look on the shareholders club website for details. I know it can seem a big chunk of cash but if you are going to go to dlp a fair bit over the years you will save a lot longterm. Just a thought.
