Dining- Kid's Menu

Are children restricted to order from the kid's menu as in WDW or can they choose from the adult menu as well? I spotted a few items on the adult menu that I am sure my 7yo would prefer.

If you're on the dining plan I believe they have to order from the kids' menu only, but if aren't on DDP then they can order anything they like. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is how it works.

I'm pretty sure the OP was asking about cruise menus, not WDW menus. Thus, no "dining plan".

And AFAIK kids on a cruise can order off the adult menu.

I believe the OP is asking about dining on the cruise ship - not at WDW.

On the ship, your child can order from the kids menu or the adult menu (and in fact adults can order from both too). It is also a great way for kids to try new foods as well since you don't have to worry about the extra money for an adult entree like you might at a regular restaurant. The wait staff is very accommodating and will be happy to mix and match items from both menus as your child desires so feel free to let your child order what they want from either or both menus!

Anyone can order off of any menu. My mom frequently ordered off the kids menu and my daughter likes the trio desserts off the adult menus

Glad to hear this... I am quite a picky eater and often find the kids choices more simple.
