My Mom really wants to eat at a French place while we are at Epcot. She is thinking about the sit down restaurant but the counter service seems to have the same kind of food. Is it worth going to the sit down overr the counter service?
:confused3

By "counter service" do you mean the Boulangerie Patisserie ? If so no it's not the same kind of food at all.

The only counter service in France is Boulangerie Patisserie, which does not serve the same food as Chefs de France or Bistro de Paris.

What counter service place are you talking about? Do you mean the French Bakery? They mainly have baked goods and I think a cheese plate and a sandwich? Not anything like the sit down restaurants.

France has 2 sit down restaurants: The bistro upstairs (fancy) and the Chefs de France downstairs.

What meal were you thinking of - lunch or dinner? If you just want something small for lunch, like a piece of quiche or a ham and cheese croissant, then the bakery has those items, but that is about the extent of their menu besides pastries and that is the only counter service restaurant in France. I think Chefs de France has those items on their lunch menu, but there is also much more. The dinner menu is very nice, with Filet mignon and duck among the choices. It sounds to me like your mother would like a sit down meal in a french restaurant, but I think you should ask her more about what she would like before you decide.
