Tusker House is a great place for lunch with reasonable prices. The rotisserie chicken I had was delicious and DH had good salmon. However, the next trip we are trying Flame Tree Barbeque because its menu looks pretty good.
Both Tusker House & Flame Tree have very loyal followings. I would look at the menus. We like Flametree & enjoy sitting down by the water. I think both are great choices-that was helpfull wasn't it
Another vote for Flame Tree. Aside from decent quality counter-service food, the seating area is pretty vast -- you don't realize it at first, because there are several different areas off of winding little paths behind the restaurant, but if you are persistent you will find a place to sit!
we enjoy pizzafari - it is counter service - offers great hot italian sub-type sandwiches - the pizza is good, salad is also good...we don't usually have heavier meals at lunch ---if you are looking for that type of substanstial meal then tusker house always seems good
Another vote for Flame Tree here! We loved Tusker House when we went in 2003. But every year since the seating has been different. You don't sit at your own table, all the tables are pushed together to form long tables which means sitting with other people. Last year we were sitting in the middle of the long table with people on either side. It makes for a difficult time finding a seat at all. Flame Tree has the BEST barbcue I've had in Florida and the dining area(little patio type spots that seem to stretch out forever down winding paths) are absolutly gorgious. Last year we were sitting at a nice covered(with ceiling fans) patio on the water and while we were eating the Character boat came by playing music and dancing. It was truly magical!
Those two are the best! The only places I would say to stay away from our Pizzafari (Disney isn't the place for pizza) and Restaurantosaurus (Disney burgers + McDonalds fries). Flame Tree has awesome pulled pork sandwiches!! The bbq smell is very intoxicating and the seating outside overlooking AK's beautiful grounds makes it a must for lunch!!!
I love the smoked meats at Flame Tree. I always eat mine 'naked' The bbq sauce is with the rest of the condiments, so you have the freedom to choose whether to use it or not.
