Dining Ideas needed

I'm looking for some dining ideas. We (me, DW, DS 9, DS 3) are going to be in the Orlando area next week. We're considering making a quick trip to grab a bite and just experience the world (too hot and crowded to do a park).

Most of characters meals are already booked. Are there any other fun dining options that we should consider. We were considering something like Whispering Canyon, but we're thinking about trying something new.

Some of the things we are leaning towards is maybe Kona Cafe and then hopping on the monorail. We're also considering doing something around the downtown marketplace.

Any suggestions?

TIA,

WLL

Downtown market place might be your best bet. It would be total torture for me and DD5 to monorail it, knowing that the parks are off limit.

At least at DTD (down town Disney) you can get a lot of the magic. Often times they will even have street entertainers. Don't forget to visit the parrots outside of Rain Forest Cafe.

There are some water sprites too to play in, and a small train (I think $2.00 a ride).

I've only eaten at Earl of Sandwich. It was really good but it's counter service. I understand there are a lot of good sit downs there too.

I like the WCC and Kona Cafe so you can't go wrong there.

My personal fave is Boma. Big fan of the San Angel Inn and Chefs de France as well.

At downtown, avoid Wolfgang Pucks. The Earl of Sandwich is an excellent choice. I also like the House of Blues

I'd vote for Downtown Disney as well. There's enough Disney there to get the vibe of being in WDW. Another thought would be the Hoop Dee Doo Review. Although, I am like another poster, if I were to get a glimpse of one of the parks, it would kill me not to go there.
