Anyone know the lunch and dinner hours for Marrakesh. I have a 3:30 ADR and forgot to ask if it was lunch or dinner. Prefer to get in at dinner time. Susan

I'd change your dining reservation to a later time, if you want dinner there. I've never had trouble getting a dining reservation for Marrakesh.

You are currently in the Lunch time frame. They serve lunch until 3:45. Dinner starts at 4pm. Not too much of a time difference if you call back and change it, as was stated Marrakesh is one of the easier restaurants to get ressies at...and will always remain my favorite :)

Can someone give me a description of this restaurant? DH is wanting to try something different. I have read the menu on Deb's site, but was wanting a little more info on the restaurant itself. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I'm calling today to see if I can change the time. We have a party of 16 so we'll see. The men in the group don't care about the time just the belly dancer :Pinkbounc Susan

It is a Morocco-themed restaurant. They feature live entertainment (music and a belly dancer) at set times throughout the day. The dancer usually invites some guests to join her "on stage". It is lots of fun.

The restaurant is rather large inside with comfortable seats. It is not as "cozy" as Le Cellier or Alfredos (read: there's a bit more space between tables). The servers are usually very prompt and attentive; we've always enjoyed having them explain different items from the menu to us.

The menu may appear to be exotic, but it is relatively tame. I am not a real adventurous diner, but I've had a great time trying different meals at Marrakesh. If you're on the dining plan, they might push the Royal Feast, but be cautious -- it's a LOT of food. Even the regular meals are Disney-generous, so you probably won't leave hungry.

The decor is very beautiful and colorful. The lighting is somewhat subdued so you get the feeling it is close to nighttime, even at lunch. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the service is not rushed at all. I enjoy having either lunch or dinner there, because it's a great place to stop, relax and recharge before taking on more of the World Showcase.

I'd suggest something in the 5:00 - 6:00 time frame. If I recall, the music begins shortly after the hour and the belly dancer about 5 to 10 min. later. The restaurant usually posts their "entertainment schedule" outside. As I said, there's never been a problem getting a table (although I've never had 16 people with me  ). So if you show up a little earlier or a little later, it shouldn't be a problem. (How many of the men are going to participate with the belly dancer?)

Thanks for the description, it sounds like something fun to try!

Poohs Pal, I didn't mean to hijack you thread!!! I'm just getting excited about our trip!
