Dining Help!

Okay, so we are going on our next trip in January. I have a couple of questions...

1. Right now I have a lunch and a dinner reservation for Be Our Guest on the same day. I just can't decide which one I want us to do. If I cancel the dinner, we can add a dinner the night we are in Epcot (we have the dining plan so thinking of credits.)

2. We are already having breakfast at the castle with all of the princesses. With that, would you do breakfast at 1900 Park Fare and dinner at Chef Mickey's, or breakfast at Chef Mickey's and dinner at 1900 Park Fare (not all the same day.) I seem to like the dinner menu better at 1900 but not sure we need so much Cinderella time along with the castle breakfast.

Thoughts? Which Be Our Guest meal should I keep? If I go with lunch, suggestions for dinner in Epcot (we did Via Napoli the last time.) Which breakfast should I choose...Park Fare or Chef Mickey's???

HELP!

Breakfast at Park Fare has characters you don't see in many other places (Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins), so I think I would favor that one over dinner (even though the Step Sisters are hilarious).

I liked lunch at BOG better than dinner, but if you do lunch there you won't get to meet the Beast.

1. Look at menus for both lunch and dinner and see if one is more appealing to your family. They're not exactly the same. We found lunch appealed to us much more than dinner.

Also, since you're on the dining plan, I find the QS lunch to be a GREAT use of a credit. You get the TS feel without using the credit. Lunch will be brought to you on the little carts, real dishes, real silverware. Yes, you help yourself to drinks and utensils, but it just doesn't feel like a typical QS meal if you know what I mean. If meeting the Beast is important, you'd have to do dinner. That didn't really matter to our family. Also at lunch, you get to pick where to sit and you can kind of wander through all three rooms and take a good look around.

2. I'd suggest just about ANYTHING over Chef Mickey! Loud, chaotic, messy, dirty, bad food--can you get that I'm not impressed with the place? If meeting Mickey & Friends is a priority, check out Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. Much better setting, much better food, and you still get to meet Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy.

Never did breakfast at Park Fare, but we loved dinner there. Yes, it's Cinderella again, but it's also the Prince and the Tremaines. The stepsisters and stepmother are worth it all on their own! Absolutely hysterical--so much fun!

Dinners in Epcot -- We loved Via Napoli. Teppan Edo was very, very good and is fun for the kids too. We also really enjoyed our dinner at Chefs de France.

Unless you want to meet the Beast, lunch really is the best value for your credits. Also check the dinner menu. We are going next week for dinner even though I think the menu is awful. I am going only to see the Beast.

Totally agree with looking at Tusker House in lieu of Chef Mickey. I would also look at Garden Grill in Epcot in lieu of Chef Mickey.

Just to help with decisions, we did these on our last trip:
Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine
Breakfast at Akershus
Breakfast at Tusker House
Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Dinner at O'hana
Dinner at Via Napoli

I currently have the following booked for January:
Lunch at Hollywood & Vine
Breakfast at the Castle
Dinner at Garden Grill

Deciding between lunch or dinner at Be Our Guest and the two decisions about 1900 and Chef Mickeys.

Then just to the point...

Lunch at BOG
Dinner at Teppan Edo in Epcot
Breakfast at Park Fare (although I've never done it, it's got to be better than Chef Mickey!)
