Wow, I logged on to the Board, saw 13 responses and thought I'd see a whole library of restaurant information! LOL But I'm glad you got your posts.
The information has been very helpful as we've never been to US before.
I think we'll follow tarheel's advice and head to Mama Dellas since we love salad. And after dinner we'll wander around and get the lay of the land to see what else looks good.
I'm still confused about the need for advance reservations. I know our room card takes us to the head of some list. Will I need to make advance reservations? We'll be there 3/16 to 3/19.
Thanks.
You won't regret choosing MD's. You're also going to be wondering what took you so long to go the Universal.

PBH is beautiful at night. Definitely, spend time enjoying your resort, after dinner. If you're up for the walk, you can actually walk to Hard Rock Hotel & Royal Pacific Resort. From PBH, you walk across a main road to get to HRH, but there's lights & it's not very busy. If you choose to continue on past HRH, you will arrive at CityWalk. Beyond that is RPR. Yes, this can all be walked to, if you wish.

As far as reservations go, we always make one. If we're going to be late, or get hungry earlier, we just call them up to see what they have available. It's never a problem to change them. For example, we had a reservation for our arrival evening last visit. We were running late & called from the road. We were given a later time, & were seated immediately. While you room card will get you priority seating at many of the restaurants, reservations will still be a better guarantee of getting seated more quickly. If you don't have a clue where you want to eat, it's nice to have the option of using your room key. Dining is our top consideration on vacation, so reservations work best for us. What can I say? We like good food!

Please, feel free to ask any questions you have. We all love talking about Universal here.
