well, its back to school tomorrow so time to start planning!!
We are going 11/8 for 2 weeks at PORS, and need to book adrs in the next few weeks so are starting to look at appropriate places to eat.
We have 3 kids, 1 with aspergers syndrom, so are looking for the 1st night after a long flight for somewhere they can let off steam, does anyone know a restaurant where there is a play area close by? I read about one in the unoffical guide but do you think i can find it again:confused3
also, we are going to use the ME to deliver our bags to the room and we are going to hire a car, go for dinner, and then (hopefully) meet our bags in the room later - has anyone done this??
We have eaten at the wcc, lt, cm, sci fi, crt, and hope to try v and a and CG this trip.
Any other recommendations gratefully received, we are thinking about bfast at Boma before a day at AK - is it worth the hype???
have a good day- especiallly all the school staff who are back in work tomorrow;)

Where is it you are staying? We were booked into the hotel (YC) restaurant on the night we arrived but just weren't hungry enough. There is Beaches and Cream and Hurricane Hannahs or even the BC marketplace for a sandwich at this resort, the children could play on the beach or watch the movie and see the higher fireworks from this beach. Just a suggestion about ME - keep a change of clothes with you, my son was too hot in his UK clothes when we got to Florida (this was in Oct) and although we had to only wait two or three hours it would have been nice to have had a change of clothes with us just to freshen up with. Ah well, we live and learn. Our youngest is ASD and we found buffets a good thing for him (very fussy eater) and if you are trying breakfast before AK why not get early admission to the park and go for the character breakfast, we got lead to Expedition Everest for the first ride of the day after ours!

Good luck with the planning.

You could take the boat to DD & eat at one of the TS or CS (we were too tired to eat TS) there's water fountains & I think a small playground at Mc Donalds. Maybe try Boatwrights at POR, we had a lovely meal there in May 07, the children could then go for a swim.

We stayed at PORS in October, and on the first night we ate at the Resort. There was plenty of choice, and it has a really good pasta station where you can say whatever you want in your pasta, and what kind of pasta etc, and it's made for you really quickly - then the kids can have a wee swim in either the main pool or the quiet pool to let off some steam. We did the Magical express, and our luggage arrived at 11 30 pm:mad: and that was after many calls to locate it- we arrived in the resort at 4.00 pm. However that was the one and only downside, as we loved every second of our stay there. We also have 3 kids 2 boys and a girl, and they were all really happy with the resort and the eating options, in fact they preferred POR to polynesian and the Beach club, and had the quiet pool all to themselves most mornings and evenings.

We're staying at POR too, 14th to 28th August, may see you there :thumbsup2

For meals though we normally just get a CS meal from the food court (POR has a good one!) as all my girls (9 & 11) want to do is fall asleep! There is an outside playground at POR and obviously all the pools :thumbsup2
